"Ribbon", my home-bred filly, soon to begin horsey kindergarten. I saved only one foal for myself from my breeding program. I think she'll be as nice to ride as she is on the eyes. She was named after the old Cavalry song that my grand-father and horse mentor always whistled. He was the last generation of "horse soldiers".

Hello Shery! I just discovered your blog. I love this video! My husband is from Wyoming, although we currently live in MN, with dreams to move west one day very soon. His parents organize and run the Elk's Youth Rodeo in Sheridan every year. We attended this year and helped out - my first time. It was amazing, these kids, some hardly walking, some well versed in the saddle... the Big Horn mountains providing the breathtaking backdrop to all that went on in the open-air arena ring...

I have sincerely enjoyed viewing your blog. I grew up in a south Texas, where we helped my dad with our small family crop fields. He had a green-thumb and big heart. I'm now a single mom, living in central Texas. My father taught me to take pride in a job well done; and I still live like that today. I work full-time and I sew part-time. I'm cowgirl at heart. I thank you for sharing such beautiful pictures.
What a great video! I've only been to Wyoming a couple times but I loved it and felt a strong connection to it.
